How about Self-Managed Super Fund?

First and foremost, you cannot be a non-resident and have a self-managed super fund. Unless you have a power of attorney or someone managing it for you, or a central management control, then you can never have SMSF if you're a non-resident as the legislation states it. The reason for that and the benefit for that is you can contribute to super when you're back to retail or non-SMSF platforms, in particular with an SMSF, if you do appoint a power of attorney, and you are in control in Australia, then you can contribute to your super while you're overseas.

Sometimes, it's not as easy to do that because there might be a property or very specific holdings inside the investment SMSFs. What you need to do is look at the option of bringing in someone and trying to convert into a small upper fund.
